Manawatu Riders Trust House Prep
The turnout to our last club race at fielding and the entries for this week at Linton prove that racing in the Manawatu is going from strength to strength, and is increasing in popularity. And we here at Bike Manawatu see the news that Jorge Sandoval has changed the format of his North Island Trust House Series from age based racing to a graded series as a fantastic opportunity to get more people taking part in a race series that will improve their racing skills and expose them to a whole new world of racing.
Our region has seen a number of riders taking part, whether in the Bike Manawatu team, Lonestar, Luxury Cycle Tours, WCNI, or Tararua Builders teams - and as well as not seeing any previous participants miss an opportunity to race, we would like to see everybody that wants to, have the chance to race - even if you haven’t done so before due to age (being too young), or any other reason.
We would like to host a get together for all interested parties, regardless of what team you have previously raced for, or if you’re even on a team - if you are interested in taking part in the series, please come along to this meeting. We will see how many riders we have, and which grade each participant feels they’d like to participate in, and make sure that not only does every rider have a spot in a team (existing teams will be kept together if all riders want to stay in the same grade), but make sure that the Manawatu region has the biggest representation
So mark this Monday, 22 June in your diary and come along to Brew Union on Broadway at 6pm to register your interest, and let us know if you’re on an existing team, or would like us to find a team for you to race on
